SCARBOROUGH — Hannah Ricker led off the bottom of the seventh inning with a single and scored on a double by Kaleigh Scoville as Scarborough remained unbeaten with a 7-6 win over McAuley in an SMAA softball game Friday.

McAuley (5-6) erased a 6-3 deficit with three runs in the top of the seventh, tying the game on a two-run single by Ashley Littlefield.

Alyssa Williamson had two hits for the Red Storm (9-0). McAuley got two hits each from Allison Tillotson and Lauren Coulumbe.

 

MARSHWOOD 6, BONNY EAGLE 2: Gianna Riccardi hit a two-run single and Meghan Sandler added a two-run double as the Hawks (4-6) used a five-run second inning to beat the Scots (7-2) at South Berwick.

Kaylah Abdul contributed an RBI single during the second-inning rally. Riccardi, Sandler and Abdul all finished with two hits, and Emily Robida pitched a six-hitter with six strikeouts.

Allison Pike and Rebecca Howell had two hits apiece for Bonny Eagle.

 

CHEVERUS 10, GORHAM 1: Sophia Giancotti went 3 for 3 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored to pace the Stags (9-1) against the Rams (3-6) at Portland.

Brittany Bell struck out 10, walked only one and did not allow an earned run while tossing a three-hitter.

Josie Bradshaw and Libby DesRuisseaux finished with three RBI apiece.

PORTLAND 5, WESTBROOK 4: Morgan Heathcoat gave the Bulldogs (4-7) a 5-3 lead when she scored on a two-out RBI single by Lauren McIntyre in the top of the seventh, and Portland held on for a win over the Blue Blazes (1-8) at Westbrook.

Westbrook got a run back in the bottom of the seventh when Emily Thornton scored on a single by Kerigan Demers, but the Blue Blazes left the bases loaded.

McIntyre finished with two hits and two RBI. Anna Evans added a pair of hits and scored two runs for Portland.

Thornton also had two hits and scored two runs.

 

THORNTON ACADEMY 28, DEERING 3: Winning pitcher Bailey Tremblay hit for the cycle, drove in five runs and scored four as Thornton Academy (5-3) pounded Deering (1-9) in a five-inning game at Saco.

Libby Pomerleau contributed four hits, three RBI and three runs scored. Kaylee Burns went 3 for 5 with four RBI and three runs scored.

 

NOBLE 12, MASSABESIC 1: The Knights (6-3) scored eight runs in the third inning on the way to a win over the Mustangs (2-9) at North Berwick.

Kathryn Taylor, Amber Kelly and Tori Cormier each had a pair of hits for Noble.

 

WELLS 15, YARMOUTH 10: Jordan Agger had three hits and five RBI as the Warriors (9-1) outslugged the Clippers (4-6) at Wells.

Lauren Bames and Maddie Taylor also had three hits each for Wells.

Melissa Levinson paced Yarmouth with three hits, including a solo home run in the first inning and a two-run homer in the third.

 

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 10, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 1: Zoe Adams hit a two-run homer in the first inning and the Patriots (5-5) broke the game open with a six-run fifth inning against the Raiders (5-5) at Gray.

Stephanie Greaton struck out 10 and walked three while pitching a two-hitter.

FREEPORT 3, TRAIP ACADEMY 2: Lauren Cormier scored on a passed ball in the bottom of the seventh as the Falcons (2-7) nipped Traip Academy (3-5) at Freeport.

The Falcons trailed 2-1 before Krista Bertrand led off the seventh with a triple and score on Evie Wiest’s sacrifice bunt. Cormier reached with a single, stole second and took third on Jess Perry’s groundout.

 

LAKE REGION 10, SACOPEE VALLEY 3: Lake Region (4-5) plated nine runs in the top of the seventh to rally past Sacopee Valley (1-7) at South Hiram.

Casey Heath paced the Lakers with four hits.

MASSABESIC 7, GREELY 6: Maquila DiMastrantonio scored with 15.7 seconds remaining as the Mustangs (6-1) edged the Rangers (3-3) at Cumberland.

Kayne Whitten paced Massabesic with four goals. Cam Keefe has a pair of goals for Greely.

 

KENNEBUNK 19, MESSALONSKEE 9: Jenny Bush and Kyra Schwartzman each scored six goals to lead the Rams (6-1) over the Eagles (4-2) at Kennebunk.

Carly Sandler added two goals and two assists.
