A Portland man was arrested Wednesday after police analyzed his computer and found thousands of images of child pornography.
Marcus Chapman, 42, has been charged with possessing sexually explicit material of someone under the age of 12.
According to a press release from Maine State Police, which made the arrest, Chapman lives on Pembroke Street in Portland and is unemployed. His residence is near Presumpscot Elementary School.
None of the children depicted in the images found on Chapman’s computer are believed to be from Maine, state police said.
