FREEPORT — Local food and politics, and a national political operative, are coming together Aug. 1 at Maine Democrats’ annual Muskie Lobster Bake.
Besides the expected slate of Democratic candidates – gubernatorial hopeful U.S. Rep. Mike Michaud, incumbent 1st Congressional District Rep. Chellie Pingree, U.S. Senate candidate Shenna Bellows, and 2nd Congressional District candidate Emily Cain – this year’s event at Wolfe’s Neck Farm will feature an appearance by Democratic strategist and commentator James Carville.
Individual tickets are $65. All proceeds support the Maine Democratic Party and those running for office. Tickets can be purchased on the Maine Democrats’ website.
