Thanks from the Horses

With help from so many of its friends, The Maine State Society for the Protection of Animals’ 2014 “Buy a Bale” fund-raising campaign exceeded its $100,000 goal. Thank you to everyone in the wonderful Windham community who donated along with animal lovers from all across the country. Every year the Society, which is New England’s largest nonprofit horse shelter, raises money to make hay and purchase hay for the dozens of horses being rehabilitated at 279 River Road. All of the money raised for “Buy a Bale” goes directly to the care and feeding of the animals. “Buy a Bale” would be a bust without support from all the generous folks in the Windham area, so please visit the farm – open daily from 1-3 p.m. and see your donations at work. FMI, visit www.msspa.org or call 892-3040.
