SOUTH PORTLAND — Residents can celebrate National Drive Electric week with a free electric car expo at the city’s new electric vehicle charging station at the Community Center on Sept. 21.
Participants can test drive electric cars, participate in a raffle for electric car-related prizes, and meet with electric car professionals from noon-5 p.m. at 21 Nelson Road. Free pizza and refreshments will be served from noon-3 p.m.
The event is sponsored by the National Resources Council, Lee Auto Malls and Central Maine Power Co., in partnership with the city.
