A New Jersey man pleaded guilty Friday to unlawful possession of firearms in Maine.

Kevin Anderson, 46, of Mullica Township, New Jersey, entered the plea in U.S. District Court in Portland.

Officials said that during a probation home check in Moose River, a town in Somerset County, in July 2013, seven guns, including four handguns, were found in Anderson’s bedroom. Anderson was prohibited from possessing handguns due to three previous felony conditions.
