Here are five reasons Maine cannot stand another term under Gov. Paul LePage:

He has consistently placed ideology, partisanship and divisiveness ahead of the best interests of Maine people.

He has vetoed more than 180 bills, the most of any governor in Maine history.

He has vetoed MaineCare expansion five times, denying health care to 70,000 Mainers, including 3,000 veterans. His actions give Maine the dubious distinction of being the only state in New England not to accept federal dollars worth $300 million to the state’s struggling economy.

Under his leadership Maine ranks 50th in the U.S. for overall economic growth, 43rd in job creation and 49th in personal income growth.

He has labeled Social Security and Medicare “welfare” while at the same time stating that 47 percent of able-bodied Mainers “don’t work.”

Is this what Mainers really want? Let’s elect Democrat Mike Michaud.
