Law enforcement officers hope to accomplish their duties and come home safe to their families. This requires the cooperation and support of the public, along with the proper resources, training and equipment.
Ultimately, it requires the support of those in office. This is why the Maine Association of Police endorses Republican Susan Collins for the U.S. Senate.
Susan Collins has a proven commitment to first responders, working to support our efforts during these uncertain and dangerous times.
Sen. Collins supports the continuation of the Bulletproof Vest Partnership Grant Program.
This program provides funds to departments to purchase vests when they otherwise may not be able to. Some members of Congress question whether the program should continue.
This basic equipment allows law enforcement officers nationwide to go home safe to their families. With the efforts of leaders like Susan Collins, they will continue to do so.
