HARTFORD, Conn. — Jared Sullinger scored 23 points to help the Boston Celtics beat the New York Knicks 106-86 in a preseason game on Wednesday night.
Kelly Olynyk and Marcus Thornton had 12 points apiece for the Celtics, who beat Philadelphia 98-78 on Monday night in their preseason opener. Avery Bradley and Marcus Smart each scored 11.
Boston shot 48 percent from the field and made 11 of 22 3-point attempts.
Tim Hardaway Jr. led the Knicks with 18 points in Coach Derek Fisher’s debut. Carmelo Anthony added 10 points.
ALBA BERLIN 94, SPURS 93: Former Xavier forward Jamel McLean banked in a running floater from the free-throw line as time expired to give Alba Berlin a victory over the NBA champions in Berlin.
Former Villanova guard Reggie Redding made a 3-pointer for Alba with 5.1 seconds left to make it 93-92, then stole Tim Duncan’s inbounds pass to set up McLean’s winner.

WIZARDS: DeJuan Blair, Nene, Daniel Orton and Xavier Silas were each suspended for one regular-season game by the NBA for leaving the bench area during an altercation between Paul Pierce and Chicago’s Joakim Noah.
Noah was fined $15,000 for initiating the altercation in Monday’s exhibition game in Chicago by pushing Pierce in the chest, and Pierce was fined $15,000 for hitting Noah in the forehead with his left index finger.
PACERS: Coach Frank Vogel signed a multiyear contract extension. Terms were not disclosed.
