When the people of his neighborhood, community and state have needed him, Portland’s Herb Adams has always been there!
When we learned that cruise ships were emptying their holding tanks into Casco Bay, Herb Adams sponsored legislation to create Maine’s first no-discharge zone, since extended to the state’s entire coast.
When Land for Maine’s Future needed bond monies to protect the best of the Maine landscape, Herb Adams was twice there to sponsor enabling legislation.
When renewable energy producers sought to sell their product into Maine’s private power grid, Herb Adams was there to sponsor legislation to make Maine (along with Vermont) the first state in the nation to enable clean energy and avoid oil-fired generating capacity.
Herb Adams, Democratic candidate for Maine House in District 40, has both the vision and the practical ideas to strengthen Maine and our people, communities, economy, natural resources and quality of life.
