For those people who see independent Eliot Cutler as a liberal alternative to Gov. Paul LePage, I reference Pat Callaghan’s interview of Eliot Cutler on WCSH-TV. In this interview, Cutler boasts of having the support of Steve DiMillo.
An online search reveals DiMillo’s commentary on The Maine Wire, the Maine Heritage Policy Center news site, opposing a minimum-wage increase. Furthermore, the LePage administration literally cut and pasted such policy from the MHPC news site.
From this, I conclude that Eliot Cutler has no problem with the economic policy of the Maine Heritage Policy Center or LePage when it comes to the wages of the Maine working class.
Democrat Mike Michaud, on the other hand, clearly believes that if you do the work that makes Maine strong, you should be paid well for it.
Will Mike stand for the working people of Maine? Yes. We don’t have to wonder.
