As a manufacturing employer and business owner in Maine for over 25 years, I’m alarmed by the unprecedented increases in electricity costs that threaten our business and its 328 hard-working and loyal employees.

This urgent situation clearly calls for political will and leadership, and Republican Paul LePage is the one candidate who understands the severity of the challenge. The LePage administration’s plan to expand natural gas infrastructure to access domestic production would significantly lower costs.

At The Dingley Press, we are facing a $600,000 increase in energy costs this winter, in addition to a $500,000 increase last winter. This pattern is not sustainable for us to remain competitive and viable, since our national competitors all have substantially lower energy costs.

Paul LePage is the only candidate for governor who understands the urgency for lowering energy costs for Maine citizens and businesses.
