Cape Elizabeth vied with – and triumphed over – the Yachtsmen at Biddeford High School Saturday afternoon in the Class A Volleyball State Championship. The Capers, as is their wont of late, fell behind two sets to none early on, Falmouth taking the first set 25-20 and the second 25-18. But quick deficits like that have actually powered Cape to victory on multiple recent occasions, and they pulled off another startling, brilliant comeback during the course of the remaining three sets. They took both the third and the fourth 25-22, then earned a clean W, 15-8, in the tie-breaker.
