Democrat Justin L. Alfond was re-elected in a three-way race for Maine Senate District 27, which includes part of Portland.
Alfond, 39, who is the Democratic Senate president, won 66.9 percent of the votes.
Asher Daniel Platts, 31, a Green Independent who is self-employed, won 18.4 percent of the vote.
Republican Peter I. Doyle, 49, a software developer, had 14.8 percent of the vote.
