Police arrested three people in connection with drug charges last weekend at an undisclosed motel in Westbrook.
On Sunday, Nov. 23, at around 1:45 a.m., Westbrook police initiated an investigation at an area motel for bail violations committed by Kortney Cox, 35. According to Westbrook Chief Janine L. Roberts, Maine Drug Enforcement agents as well as Portland and Westbrook police K-9 teams were called in.
The investigation resulted in the arrest of Deshaun Davis, 36, who was charged with aggravated drug trafficking, three counts of class B drug trafficking, and trafficking in prison contraband.
Also arrested was Tod Rasberry, 33, on two counts of aggravated forgery. Both men are believed to be from the Brooklyn, N.Y., area.
Cox was issued criminal summonses for violating conditions of release, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, and operating without a license.
Seized in the investigation were 35 grams of cocaine/crack and 11-plus grams of heroin, plus a loaded firearm and approximately $4,000 in cash.
