Wednesday is expected to start with 1 to 3 inches of snow with a quick change to rain at the coast, according to the meteorologists at WCSH Channel 6.

Inland will get a change to sleet and freezing rain first, then a change to rain.

Wednesday afternoon is expected to become mostly cloudy, breezy and milder with a few scattered rain showers. Scattered rain or snow showers are expected Wednesday night, and it will be windy and turning colder.

It will be partly sunny with a brisk and cold west wind Thursday. It’s expected to be mostly sunny and continued cold on Friday.
