SACO — CruiseOne of Saco has launched a travel program called “On Holiday For Hayley” to support 12-year-old cancer patient and Saco resident Hayley Desjardins and the Maine Children’s Cancer Program which is currently treating her.

CruiseOne’s Jennifer Amnott and Keith Belanger will donate a portion of the proceeds from every vacation booked through the “On Holiday for Hayley” program.

In 2008, Desjardins was diagnosed with a rare bone marrow failure disease called Aplastic Anemia. She received several treatments for her illness, had many hospitalizations and received numerous blood and platelet transfusions under care from the doctors at MCCP. This past October Hayley had a reoccurrence of Aplastic Anemia, the same disease she fought in 2008, and she is receiving treatment once again with the assistance of MCCP.

“On Holiday for Hayley” is one component of CruiseOne’s Cruising for Children program, which promotes travel specials and deals, as well as shares more information about how travelers can support MCCP.
