SCARBOROUGH — Ashley Briggs scored 20 points to lead Scarborough High to a 48-42 victory over Marshwood in a Western Class A girls’ basketball game Thursday night.

Briggs knocked down 12 free throws, including eight in the fourth quarter, to lead Scarborough (5-5). The Red Storm made 22 shots from the line in all.

Kathleen Locke had 16 points and Lydia St. Pierre had 14 for the Hawks (5-5).

YORK 48, GREELY 43: Shannon Todd made three 3-pointers on her way to 16 points as the Wildcats (7-2) edged the Rangers (7-2) at York.

Emma Thomson added 11 points, and Mia Briggs added nine for York, which led 36-35 after three quarters.

Ashley Storey scored 19 points for the Rangers.

FALMOUTH 39, FRYEBURG 32: Ally Hickey, Jessica Burton, Adelaide Cooke and Alaina Birkel scored four points each to give Falmouth a 16-10 first-quarter lead, and the Yachtsman (6-2) held off the Raiders (3-6) at Fryeburg.

Hickey finished with a team-high 10 points. Julia Quinn’s 13 led Fryeburg.

YARMOUTH 53, TRAIP ACADEMY 33: Cory Langenbach scored 15 points, Sara D’Appolonia had 14 and Yarmouth (3-5) pulled away in the fourth at Kittery.

The Clippers outscored the Rangers 23-9 in the final quarter to put it away.

Marina Casey led Traip Academy (2-5) with 13 points.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 54, CAPE ELIZABETH 46: Zoe Adams and Grace Kariotis combined for 17 first-half points to power the Patriots (9-0) to a 33-17 lead over Cape Elizabeth (5-3) in Gray.

Skye Conley scored 16 points to lead Gray New-Gloucester, while Adams finished with 11 and Kariotis had 10.

Montana Braxton netted 19 points for the Capers. Hannah Sawyer had 12 and Madeleine Bowe 10.

KENNEBUNK 38, WELLS 34: Stephanie Sullivan scored 14 points for the Rams (2-7) at Wells (1-8).

Gabby Fogg added eight points for Kennebunk, which outscored Wells 13-3 in the second quarter for a 22-15 lead.

Natalie Thurber scored 23 points for the Warriors.

BRUNSWICK 64, MESSALONSKEE 40: Julia Champagne scored 22 points and Gillian Doehring added 17 as the Dragons (5-4) topped the Eagles (6-5) at Oakland.

Madeline Suhr scored 12 points for the Dragons, who outscored the Eagles 20-7 in the second quarter for a 37-19 lead.

McKenna Brodeur led the Eagles with 10 points.

LAKE REGION 68, FREEPORT 48: Chandler True drilled a pair of 3-pointers in the first quarter as the Lakers (5-3) opened a 23-7 lead over Freeport (0-8) at Naples.

The Lakers extended the lead to 47-19 by the half.

Kristen Huntress led Lake Region with 13 points. CeCe Hancock added 12, True finished with 11 and Sarah Hancock had 10 points and 10 assists.

Megan Cormier scored 21 for the Falcons. Taylor Rinaldi had 10.

PINE TREE 63, BUCKFIELD 37: Alex Goodman scored 21 points in the second half as the Breakers outscored Buckfield 41-20 to pull away at Freeport.

Goodman finished with 29 points and nine rebounds. Allison Verrill added 16 points for Pine Tree (7-1), while Kim Emerson had 10 rebounds and 10 blocks.

Alexis Bennett scored 13 for the Bucks (5-5), and Ashley Campbell had 10.

CARRABEC 55, WISCASSET 40: Emma Pluntke scored 20 points for the Cobras (5-4) at Wiscasset (3-8).

Bailey Dunphey and Kate Stevens added seven points apiece for Carrabec, which pulled away by outscoring the Wolverines 16-4 in the fourth quarter.

Miranda McIntire had 10 points and Kayla Gordon and Colleen Hendricks each had eight for Wiscasset.

HYDE 34, VALLEY 26: Lili Allen and Diamond Brown scored 12 points apiece in leading Hyde (5-0) past Valley (4-6) in Bath.

OXFORD HILLS 54, MT. ARARAT 30: Anna Winslow had 17 points, Mikayla Morin had 11 and the Vikings (8-2) built a 21-7 lead in the first quarter against the Eagles (4-6) at South Paris.

Allison Melcher had 14 points with eight rebounds, and Sara Lamb had 10 points for the Eagles.

WINDHAM 41, BONNY EAGLE 38: Mallory Nelson scored 17 points to lead the Eagles (3-7) over the visiting Scots (4-6).

Mya Mannette chipped in with 10 points for Windham, which outscored the Scots 17-7 in the fourth quarter.

Cassidy Emery added 14 points and Delaney McCullough had eight for Bonny Eagle, which led 15-5 after one quarter.
