STONY BROOK, N.Y. — Sigi Koizar scored a career-high 23 points, Liz Wood had 17 points and nine rebounds, and the University of Maine held on for a 58-55 victory over Stony Brook in an America East Conference basketball game on Saturday afternoon.

Sophie Weckstrom made two free throws with 3 seconds left to seal it for the Black Bears (11-6, 3-1), after the Seawolves (9-8, 2-2) nearly overcame a 55-50 deficit in the final 30 seconds.

UNE 74, ROGER WILLIAMS 58: The Nor’easters (11-2, 8-0 CCCC) finished with a 22-7 run to close out Roger Williams (9-6, 6-2) at Biddeford.

Junior Alanna Vose led UNE with 19 points, 11 of which came from 12 free throws. Meghan Gribbin added 18 points and made four assists.

Kelly Coleman and Lauren Hayden both finished with 10 points. Hayden scored seven points during the Nor’easters final run.

BOWDOIN 75, HAMILTON 48: Shannon Brady scored 20 points on 10-for-17 shooting and also had 11 rebounds and three blocks for the Polar Bears (15-2, 4-0 NESCAC) as they extended their winning streak to 12 with a victory over the Continentals (9-7, 1-3) at Clinton, New York.

Sara Binkhorst added 15 points for the Polar Bears, who used an 11-0 run to erase an early 11-3 deficit and led by 14 points at halftime.

WILLIAMS 74, COLBY 66: Ellen Cook scored 28 points, including eight straight during a 10-0 run early in the second half that put the Ephs ahead for good, and Williams (14-3, 2-2 NESCAC) pulled away from Colby (11-4, 2-2) at Williamstown, Massachusetts.

Mia Diplock scored 18 points and Carylanne Wolfington added 16 for the Mules, who led by nine late in the first half.

AMHERST 82, BATES 47: Ali Doswell scored 17 points, and the Lord Jeffs (15-1, 3-1 NESCAC) beat Bates (9-7, 0-3) at Lewiston.

The Bobcats were led by Allie Coppola with 17 points and four assists. Bernadette Connors chipped in with 10 points.

SMCC 94, EMCC 44: Alicia Hoyt had 19 points, 11 rebounds and five blocked shots for the Seawolves (11-7, 8-3 Yankee Small College Conference), who never trailed in defeating Eastern Maine CC (6-8, 4-5) at South Portland.

Abigail Nielsen and Kendra Kagiliery added 12 points apiece and Jordan Turner scored 11 for SMCC.

ST. JOSEPH’S 53, ANNA MARIA 39: Sarah Assante scored 14 points, and the Monks (9-3, 2-0 GNAC) beat Anna Maria (6-9, 1-1) at Standish.

Abbie Eastman and Morgan Cahill chipped in with 10 points apiece for St. Joseph’s, which held the visitors to 13 points in the second half.

EASTERN CONNECTICUT 62, USM 44: Kristina Forsman scored 14 points and Jordyn Nappi had 13 off the bench as Eastern Connecticut State (10-4, 4-1 Little East Conference) downed Southern Maine (7-8, 3-2) at Gorham.

Ella Ramonas had 12 points for the Huskies. Megan Pelletier and Stephanie Gallagher added 10 apiece.

COLBY 3, CONNECTICUT COLLEGE 2: Maddie Dewhirst tipped in a loose puck with 0.7 seconds remaining in regulation to lift the Mules (7-7-0, 1-7-0 NESCAC) to a win over the Camels (9-3-3, 4-2-2) at New London, Connecticut.

Colby got first-period goals from Lauren Guarente at 4:25 and Delaney Flynn at 17:03. Stephanie Izzi had goals the second and third to tie it for Connecticut.

Colby goalie Jessica Thulin made 39 saves.

BOWDOIN 2, WESLEYAN 0: Lan Crofton had 30 saves, Chelsea MacNeil and Maddie Baird had goals, and the Polar Bears (8-3-3, 4-1-1 NESCAC) shut out Wesleyan (5-7-1, 1-6-1) at Middletown, Connecticut.

MANHATTANVILLE 2, UNE 2: Shannon Smith scored two goals, including the equalizer midway through the third, to help the University of New England (4-8-3, 1-6-1 ECAC East) secure a tie with Manhattanville (5-6-4, 4-2-2) at Biddeford.

Karly Kapur and Cassandra Kent scored for the Valients.

Sydney Helmbrecht made 32 saves for UNE.
