WATERVILLE — Emily Kehoe had 13 points, and Morgan Cahill finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds Wednesday night as St. Joseph’s College topped Thomas College in women’s basketball, 56-40.

The Monks (11-3) led 15-6 after five minutes and never trailed.

Katie McAllister and Taylor Reynolds each had nine points for Thomas (1-14).

(2) UCONN 100, CENTRAL FLORIDA 45: Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis scored 23 points as the Huskies (17-1, 7-0 American Athletic Conference) beat the host Knights (6-12, 2-5).

MEN’S BASKETBALL

SOUTHERN MAINE CC 103, UNITY COLLEGE 55: Jordan DeRosby scored 20 points with seven rebounds as the Seawolves (16-1, 12-0 YSCC) won easily over the Rams (1-9, 1-8) at South Portland.

Tyheem Simon added 14 points, Chase Soares contributed 13 and Emanuel Perry had 12 for the Seawolves.

Sean Tocci led Unity with 16 points.

The Seawolves have scored at least 90 points nine times this seasons, including two over 100.

BOWDOIN 78, UM-PRESQUE ISLE 57: Bryan Hurley scored 17 points to lead the Polar Bears (12-4) past the Owls (8-8) at Brunswick.

Matt Palecki added 15 points, John Swords had 12 and Lucas Hausman closed with 11 for the Polar Bears, who rallied from a 15-5 deficit in the first 5:21 to a 36-28 lead at halftime.

Kevin Collins led the Owls with 18 points.

(12) UTAH 86, WASHINGTON STATE 64: Brandon Taylor had 18 points and seven assists, and Delon Wright added 17 points and eight assists to help the Utes (15-3, 5-1 Pac-12) beat the visiting Cougars (9-9, 3-3).

Jordan Loveridge scored 14 points for Utah.

(14) WICHITA STATE 76, MISSOURI STATE 53: Ron Baker made five 3-pointers and finished with 15 points to lead the visiting Shockers (17-2, 7-0 Missouri Valley Conference) over the Bears (8-11, 2-5).

(15) NORTH CAROLINA 87, WAKE FOREST 71: Kennedy Meeks scored 12 of his 16 points after halftime to help the visiting Tar Heels (15-4, 5-1 ACC) pull away and beat the Demon Deacons (9-10, 1-5).

Brice Johnson had 19 points as the other half of a two-headed inside attack that helped the Tar Heels score 50 points in the paint on the way to their fourth straight league win.

(20) NORTHERN IOWA 66, INDIANA STATE 60: Matt Bohannon scored 17 points, Seth Tuttle had 16 and the Panthers (17-2, 6-1 Missouri Valley Conference) held off the visiting Sycamores (9-10, 5-2) for their sixth straight victory.

Jeremy Morgan had 11 points for the Panthers, who blew a 10-point lead before rallying for their 13th consecutive home win.

(21) BAYLOR 81, HUSTON-TILLOTSON 61: Rico Gathers set career highs with 25 points and a Big 12-record 28 rebounds as the Bears (14-4) topped the Rams, an NAIA school, at Waco, Texas.

With their two senior starters both getting a night off, the Bears trailed by as many as nine points early.

They led 37-36 at halftime only after Taurean Prince’s buzzer-beating 3-pointer that was part of a 10-2 run.
