FARMINGTON – A Maine man who sexually molested two brothers under the age of 14 has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.
Jonathan Clark of Lovell was sentenced Wednesday in Franklin County Superior Court after pleading guilty to 10 counts of gross sexual assault.
The state dismissed 26 other charges as part of a plea agreement.
In addition to prison time, the 29-year-old Clark was sentenced to 30 years of probation.
Prosecutors say Clark was friendly with the victims’ mother and lived in her home for a time. The assaults occurred from January 2012 until March 2014 in Chesterville, Farmington and Wilton.
The victims’ mother called Clark a “heartless, backstabbing user,” and said a third son was also molested, although no charges were brought in that case.
Clark apologized in court.
