ESSEX JUNCTION, Vt. — The Mt. Ararat High School wrestling team traveled to Essex Junction on Friday where it competed against more than 20 schools from Maine, New Hampshire, New York and Vermont.

The Eagles finished seventh overall with Pierce Knorr repeating as champion for the 285-pound weight class, pinning all of his opponents. Robert Heatherman took second in the 160- point weight class after a 5-3 loss to three-time Maine state champion Jackson Howarth from Marshwood.

Adam Ewing took fourth in the 152- pound weight class, while Christian Jensen of Brunswick took fourth in the 126-pound weight class.
