WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — Kevin Little scored 25 points and hit a key 3-pointer down the stretch to help Maine pull away and beat Hartford 70-61 on Sunday, snapping the Black Bears’ 13-game losing streak.

Zarko Valjarevic made a 3-pointer to give Maine a 56-53 lead. Taylor Dyson scored to pull Hartford within one before Little answered with a 3-pointer, sparking a 14-6 surge to seal it for Maine (2-18, 1-6 America East).

Little made 8 of 16 shots, including 5 of 10 from 3-point range. Till Gloger and Valjarevic chipped in with 14 points apiece. The Black Bears, who had been averaging 52 points per game, finished 25 of 49 (51 percent) from the field.

Mark Nwakamma scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to go along with four assists for Hartford (11-9, 4-3). Justin Graham added 11 points for the Hawks, who shot 25 of 65 overall and 5 of 32 from beyond the 3-point line.
