MEXICO CITY — The U.S. Geological Survey says a strong 6.2-magnitude earthquake has been registered off Mexico’s Pacific coast state of Jalisco.
There are no immediate reports of injury or damage from the quake that occurred at around 8:23 a.m. local time.
It was registered at a depth of 6 miles, about 131 miles southwest of the community of Tomatlan, and 503 miles west of Mexico City.
