Portland Pipe Line Corp. showed its true colors when it decided to sue South Portland over the Clear Skies Ordinance. All along, Portland Pipe Line denied that it would use its facilities for dirty and dangerous tar sands oil. During the 2013 campaign, they even pointed to the fact that they had not asked for a permit to process and ship tar sands oil. Portland Pipe Line cares more about profits than the safety, health and well-being of South Portland’s residents. Now it’s time to show them in court that the Clear Skies Ordinance is the right path to take. The whole country is watching.
