The Radiant Life Symposium, an event focusing on alternative health care, is scheduled for Sunday, April 12, at the Harraseeket Inn of Freeport, from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Ingrid LeVasseur, founder of Inner Image Clinical Thermography of Windham and Falmouth, is host of the symposium, which is taking place in Freeport for a second year. LeVasseur said that the target audience is “people who are looking to take control of their health and wealth.”

Jim Oschman, who has written articles and books on energy medicine, is the keynote speaker. Practitioners of energy medicine believe that energy can be channeled into a patient with healing results.

“Oschman is a world-renowned speaker,” LeVasseur said.

Geopathology, acupuncture, food intolerances, dealing with trauma and managing stress and anxiety are among other topics to be considered at the symposium.

Werner Brandmaier, founder of the Feng Shui & Geopathology Institute of Portland, will speak about mind-body connections that can affect a person’s well-being.

“There is a growing community that believes in energy medicine. It is the new direction of medicine. This is really were the future goes. The idea really is that behind everything there is an energy field and energy structure,” said Brandmaier, who has a background as an engineer.

Returning speaker Jill Wheaton will discuss the impact of hidden food allergies.

LeVasseur wants the symposium to present people with the “here and now” of medical practices.

“My goal with this event is to give participants access to cutting edge technologies years before they become mainstream,” LeVasseur said in a press release.
