’50s parade theme for 50th clam fest

This year is a special one as the Yarmouth Clam Festival celebrates its 50th anniversary. Appropriately, this year’s parade theme is “#flashback Friday: 50 years on Parade.” Floats should reflect something, someone, or an event that has had significance in the last half century.

The parade application, as well as antique auto and craft show applications, are now available for download on the Applications page at www.clamfestival.com.

The festival will be held July 17-19.

Parking ban

The all-night, on-street parking ban is in effect through April 15. This is an effort to keep the streets clear for snow removal. According to the police department, all-night parking is defined as parking for more than one hour between midnight and 6 a.m. This applies to all public streets within the town.
