OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Rebecca L. Cote, 58, of Auburn, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 4 at the hospice house with her children by her side.

She was born in Old Orchard Beach on June 17, 1956, the daughter of William and Joanne Chandler.

As she worked full time in her earlier years raising three children, she gave her life and dedication to help raise her grandchildren, enjoying every moment teaching and caring for them. She was an avid reader, seamstress, and baker. In her spare time, she loved gardening, knitting, crocheting, and watching “NCIS.”

She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Cote of Sabattus, Jessica Cote of Lewiston, and Jarrod Cote and wife Nicole of San Diego, California; her siblings, William Chandler of Biddeford, Kathy Valley of North Carolina, Karen Morgan of Shapleigh, Judy Beaulieu of Saco, Robin Levitt of Waterboro, Pamela Chandler of Biddeford, and Randy Chandler of Augusta; grandchildren, Alyssa Cote, Abigail Cote, Tatum Brown, Chloe Cote, and Michael Stevens; a great-grandson, Owen Black; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a graveside service at Brooklawn Memorial Park on Congress Street in Portland at 11 a.m. on April 10.
