LAMBS AT WOLFE’S NECK FARM in Freeport, as seen on Tuesday, are a sure sign of spring. There are 12 lambs at the farm, with more expected. Kids — baby goats — are also due any day now. The other kind of kids — human children — will be coming to the farm soon for April Vacation Camp, beginning April 20. The camp is open to students grades 1-5 and will include bird watching, the exploration of creeks and vernal pools, planting, and working with the lambs and other animals. Wolfe’s Neck Farm is a 626-acre nonprofit demonstration farm with four miles of ocean front, and open to the public year-round.
