Ward should decide
I would like to comment on the potential of the City Council voting on a proposal to recommend that Councilor Paul Emery resign.
I don’t know Mr.Emery, I don’t have any political party affiliation and I vote in every election.
In my opinion, this is an issue that is the responsibility of the ward that elected Mr. Emery. I think that this may be a good reason Westbrook should have a recall provision in its charter. We do have an election coming up in November and the matter can be settled in its proper environment.
Retoric is a by-product of politics. Politicians don’t always think before they speak and I ignore most of what they say.
The point is, let the ward that elected Mr. Emery decide whether they want Mr. Emery to continue to represent them or not.
