Two credit unions that were recently robbed are offering a combined reward of $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of the man suspected of robbing several banks over the last few weeks.

The reward is being offered by TruChoice Federal Credit Union and cPort Credit Union.

University Credit Union at 1071 Brighton Ave. was robbed on May 14, and TruChoice Federal Credit Union at 272 Park Ave. was robbed on May 26.

On Friday, Portland Police responded to two robberies that appeared to have been committed by the same man. The first occurred at the cPort Credit Union at 285 Forest Ave., while the second occurred at Bank of America at One City Center.

In both cases a black man entered the bank brandishing a handgun and demanding cash. He ran away after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash from each bank. No shots were fired and no one was injured. Witnesses described a late-model red Ford or Mercury sedan that was seen speeding from the area of One City Center with two black men inside.
