How refreshing to read Spencer Apollonio’s opinion on the editorial page June 19 (“Another View: Compromise a vital principle contained in Constitution”).

I, like Mr. Apollonio, am weary of the political extremists. I will cast my votes for those who understand that the job of representing the people carries the responsibility of meeting in the middle for the common good.
