PRESQUE ISLE — Northern Maine’s largest agricultural fair is underway in Presque Isle near the Canadian border.

The Northern Maine Fair is continuing at the Northern Maine Fairgrounds on Saturday after starting Friday. The event lasts until Aug. 1. It includes truck and tractor pulls, a midway, horse shows, a car show and harness racing. It also includes the Northern Maine Fair Idol contest.

The event is coinciding with the Pittston Fair, which runs through Sunday and is billed as “Maine’s Friendliest Country Fair.”
