Allan Neff (“Letter to the editor: Conservative mystified by Republicans for Trump,” Aug. 14) reflects the tired paranoia of the far right when he writes: “Perhaps some liberals, disguised as Republicans, are expressing support for (Donald) Trump to skew the early polls.”
It reminds me of the late Maine nature writer Gene Letourneau, who once wrote that it was non-hunters who shot at road signs, just to make hunters look bad.
