From the Journal Tribune: “Social service agencies are likely to get some funding for 2006 and beyond under a compromise plan worked out among the York County Commissioners that establishes a new system foir distributing cash. In a unanimous vote, commissioners Wednesday agreed to establish a $75,000 account and form a three-person subcommittee to review applications for funding.”

From the Biddeford-Saco Journal: “Former Biddeford Mayor Willie W. Pomerleau today challenged the Edward F. Gaulin administration’s action in bonding off $250,000 in past debts, which Pomerleau claimed do not exist, and claimed the figure was ‘outlandish.’”

From the Biddeford Daily Journal: “Packages of various kinds of seeds were distributed among the pupils last spring by the industrial committee of The Womens Educational and Industrial union and the ethusiastic gardners have eagerly looked forward to exhibition time.
