A couple died in a car crash with a city dump truck in Caribou on Wednesday afternoon.

The crash happened at 1 p.m. at the intersection of Route 1 and the Caribou Connector, said the Caribou Police Department.

An 84-year-old man driving a 2007 Honda CRV failed to yield and was hit by an International dump truck owned by the Caribou Public Works Department and driven by Robert Deschesne, 40, of Caribou, police said.
