Wells will be the most effective advocate for our collective vision of Portland’s future. As a local attorney and business owner, Wells knows the city and its hardworking people. He’s prepared to handle the big issues like social justice and sustainable urban growth, as well as the drudgery of council deliberations and consensus building.
From 2011 to 2014, Wells and I helped to draft the Portland Voter Guide – no small task with plenty of principled political debates.
In so doing, we learned how to hold candidates accountable to their word and set expectations. Wells will be no exception to these high standards.
Over the years, I’ve come to know Wells as a reasonable, kind and productive man with abiding core values and nimble opinions on initiatives and issues facing the city.
