Two separate crashes on Thursday afternoon on Interstate 95, in Kittery and Scarborough, have now been cleared, and all travel lanes are open.
A three-vehicle crash in Kittery shortly after 4 p.m. had blocked the left, high-speed lane for southbound traffic. The Maine Turnpike Authority announced on its website that that crash had been cleared by 4:51 p.m.
A crash in Scarborough between exits 44 and 42 caused delays as well. The crash was first reported at 4:15 p.m. The vehicles in the crash were quickly cleared from the highway, but emergency vehicles briefly blocked the right, low-speed lane.
