A Brewer man was killed late Wednesday night in a one-car crash in Veazie that state police are blaming on speeding.
Kendall Gordon Jr., 50, of Brewer, died in the crash at northbound mile 189 on I-95 just after 11 p.m. Wednesday.
State Trooper Trevor Snow said Gordon’s 2003 Mitsubishi left the road and went into the median, struck a tree and overturned at least once, coming to rest on its wheels.
Gordon was thrown from the car and died at the scene. It was not known whether he was wearing a seat belt at the time.
Police say the likely cause of the crash was speeding.
