ALBANY, N.Y. — Caitlyn Paltsios’ corner kick curved into the net off goalkeeper Claudia Dube-Trempe 40 minutes into the game to lift Albany to a 1-0 win over the University of Maine in an America East women’s soccer game Sunday.

Maine ends the regular season 9-7-1 overall and 4-3-1 in the conference. The Black Bears are the No. 4 seed in the upcoming America East tournament and will host No. 5 New Hampshire in a first-round game at 7 p.m. Thursday. Albany (9-8-1, 4-3-1) is the No. 2 seed and has a first-round bye.

Alana Olivieri had two saves for Albany, while Dube-Trempe had four saves for Maine.

Field hockey

BABSON 3, UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND 1: Staci Swallow scored late in the first half and Julie Mortimer added a pair of goals in the second half as the 12th-ranked Beavers (15-2) defeated the Nor’Easters (12-6) in Babson Park, Massachusetts.

Hayley Pelletier scored for UNE at 59:16, redirecting a shot by Marge Gardiner after a penalty corner.

Kayla Costa had seven saves for Babson, while Holly Smith stopped four shots for UNE.

DICKINSON 4, ST. JOSEPH’S 0: Catherine Perlmutter and Merritt Davis scored first-half goals and Chelsea Kramer had two goals in the second half as the Red Devils (11-5) beat the Monks (11-6) in Union, New Jersey.

Megan Baker made eight saves for St. Joseph’s.
