This election season, District 1 is fortunate to have a number of candidates articulating a shared vision for our city and neighborhoods: workforce housing, the linking of smart development and improved transportation options, and enhanced community engagement to ensure a more inclusive decision-making process in City Hall.
Belinda Ray stands out among these candidates. Belinda’s record of public service to Portland is impressive.
She has proven her ability to identify challenges, bring people together and attract resources needed to improve our community. Her work as a founder, president and community organizer for the East Bayside Neighborhood Organization is indicative of the energy, passion and thoughtfulness with which she will serve our district.
At this time of transition in Portland, our district needs a strong advocate who will represent the interests of District 1. Please join me in sending Belinda Ray to the City Council as that strong voice.
