As a resident of Portland’s East Bayside neighborhood, I endorse Belinda Ray for Portland City Council in District 1.
I have known Belinda as president and community organizer for the East Bayside Neighborhood Organization, which thrived under her leadership.
She was instrumental in working with the American Institute of Architects to do a study on East Bayside that has served well as a reference for neighborhood improvement plans.
She was extremely effective in working with community partners to procure grants, one of the most notable being awarded to renovate the basketball courts at Fox Street Field. The courts are a popular gathering place for East Bayside youth and a centerpiece of the neighborhood.
Belinda truly cares about those who will be her constituency. She knows how to listen and knows how to get things done. Vote for Belinda Ray!
