I worked with Ron Michaud as a councilor while he was mayor of Saco, and he was an excellent mayor.
He has no hidden agenda. He encourages the City Council to work for a better city government. He obeys the city charter. He understands procedural rules and applies them, maintaining orderly meetings.
Ron Michaud listens and is open to the ideas of others. He developed these skills as a member of the City Council, both as a councilor and as a mayor.
During the coming term there is likely to be a rise in costs as a result of federal fiscal policy. Ron Michaud is the only Saco mayoral candidate who has experience in facilitating the council’s ability to control taxes and maintain services while under pressure to increase taxes.
This can only be done if the mayor can communicate with the council. Ron Michaud is an experienced communicator.
