MIDDLEBURY, Vt. — Andrew Jones scored 2:36 into overtime to lift sixth-seeded Bowdoin to a 1-0 win over eighth-seeded Wesleyan in the New England Small College Athletic Conference men’s soccer final Sunday.

It’s the second straight NESCAC title for the Polar Bears (10-3-4), who earned the league’s automatic bid into the NCAA Division III tournament.

Bowdoin keeper Stevie Van Siclen assisted on the winning goal. His free kick from 75 yards away took one skidding bounce before Jones gathered it and tapped in into the goal off the post.

Van Siclen was forced to make only one save. Bowdoin finished with a 12-4 advantage in shots.

Pairings for the NCAA tournament will be announced at 1:30 p.m. Monday.
