I have been working well away from Portland for a number of months. This morning was apparently the first day in my area for the purple city trash bags were to be used.
I still have several blue bags from before this rule change, and I intend to use them. I cannot, for the life of me, understand what difference the color of the bought and paid-for city bags makes.
The city is no doubt using the money I paid for the cheaper blue bags, while I can no longer buy more of them for my trash. Can someone please shed some light on this insane decision?
