The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said one person was killed in a single-car crash Thursday night on Route 218 in Whitefield.

Sgt. Matt Day said at 11:30 p.m. that the identity of the victim was not being released yet.

The crash, which remains under investigation, was reported around 8:45 p.m.
