Jason Nastovski scored on a 3-yard run with 12:30 left in the second quarter to give Hamilton a 7-0 lead.

After Pat Donahoe’s 55-yard punt was downed at the Bates 1 later in the half, a bad exchange in the Bobcats’ backfield caused a fumble in the end zone that the Continentals’ Nick Sobczyk pounced on for a defensive touchdown.

Hamilton held Bates to one first down and 11 yards in the second half. The Bobcats finished with 104 total yards.

HUSSON 20, MOUNT IDA 7: The Eagles (7-2, 6-1 Eastern Collegiate Football Conference) jumped out to a 20-0 lead and cruised past the Mustangs (2-8, 2-5) at Bangor.

John Smith rushed 39 times for 198 yards and a pair of touchdowns for Husson. Cory Brandon was 12 of 21 for 110 yards passing and a third-quarter touchdown pass to Robenson Saintard.

Chad Martin booted a 37-yard field goal on the Mariners’ first possession of the second half to extend the lead to 10-0, but Nichols cut the deficit to just two points when Bryan Hummel hit Derrick Warren on a 99-yard touchdown pass with just 27 seconds remaining in the third quarter.
