CAMPOBELLO ISLAND, New Brunswick — Superintendent Ron Beckwith is leaving the Roosevelt Campobello International Park Commission after five years.

The park is located on Campobello Island, New Brunswick, just across the border from Lubec, Maine. The park’s focal point is the summer cottage of the late U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

It’s jointly operated by the U.S. and Canada.

During Beckwith’s tenure, park attendance has grown 55 percent. The 30-year park employee will continue to serve as interim superintendent until the commission selects his successor.
