While I appreciate the enthusiasm with which the Press Herald is reporting on the improvements to Spring Street, I am somewhat perplexed as to why so much attention and evaluation has been given to a project still in phase construction.

Indeed, the coverage is more akin to a Twitter feed than to reportage. Be assured that in the long run, motorists are a resilient bunch and are already adapting to the changes.

Would one make a final judgment on a building before it is complete? A child before she is grown? Or a cake while it is still in the oven? If so, it is little wonder that the conclusions come out half-baked.
