Re: “Attorney general, advocates clash over heroin penalties” (Feb. 3):
It seems our attorney general lacked compassion when she proposed heroin addicts face a felony charge for their actions.
We might as well charge obese people with a felony for overeating and alcoholics for drinking too much.
The best alternative is treatment for the addicts and jail time for the suppliers.
